My symptoms from night shades have been pretty simple to figure out.

My MI diet based around Cordain’s Paleo Diet -

Concepts such as Michael Pollan has introduced

Among many others.

It’s been a long study but I am now symptom free for many, many months. I finally made the switch from eliminating foods that I could not eat to adding foods that work.

In the mean time to answer your question, eating a tomato or tomato catsup(GF) gives me watery D 15 hours later. I could time it with a stopwatch. I will have a normal BM in the morning then WHAM. No aches and pains beforehand like I had with wheat . No brain fog no nausea. A very clear seemingly out of the blue reaction if I had not been paying attention all these years.

The other Nightshades are the same. It is so clear since I have refined my diet to the point that I never have problems. Then try a dearly loved nightshade and ............

The only medication I was ever offered was long term prednisone and knowing how it effected friends and family I have taken another route. I have said before that it is a long study for me but at this point could not be happier with the results

Hope this helps.

Love

Matthew

P.S. Even if i can’t eat tomatoes and other nightshades I still love growing them in my garden. Will get them in the ground this week and enjoy watching them grow an produce fruit. A good part of the joy of the garden is giving to friends. ;-)
