It's A Small World.
Hi All,
One never knows what will happen next. My brother and his wife go dancing virtually every Friday night, at a nearby place in the little town of Salado, Texas, (population 3,475 at the last census in the year 2000). Salado is a very quiet little town with a historic past. It's located about halfway between Waco and Austin, right on IH35, but progress has mostly passed it by, and it still holds many of it's early traditions, and it's artifacts, and it has long been a tourist attraction.
Yesterday, when I talked with my brother, he mentioned that when they got to Salado last Friday night, they had to wait a little while because some of the streets were blocked, and IH35 was shut down, so that the presidental motorcade could safely get onto the highway, on their way back to the ranch at Crawford, (roughly 40 miles north of there). It seems that the Bush family had chosen the same little reception hall in Salado, for their post-rehearsal reception, that my brother and his family had chosen for the reception after my niece's wedding, a couple of years ago. Just to be sure he wasn't pulling my leg, I looked it up on the net, and sure enough, it's apparently true:

I just didn't have anything to wear. HaHa
That really is quite a coincidence, Tex. I think it's really neat that they chose to do all this wedding thing the way they did. (well, the bride did anyway.) I just like it.

I agree. The guest list had to be extremely restricted, because I would describe that hall as rather tiny, even by small town standards. I have no idea how many attended the wedding itself, but it's obvious that the bride had no intention of letting her fathers current position turn her wedding into a media circus. Good for her.
