Post by JJ »

Oh you guys....I have been crying most of the weekend.. My cat does not seem to be improving....she has been on antibiotics and vitamins...I am afraid her kidneys are still failing...I am supposed to call the vet today to report....I'm trying to stop crying before I call.

More later....JJ

Thinking of you, JJ and, of course, your poor kitty. I hope the news will be better than you think.

Hi again,

The vet said to keep giving her the antibiotics....and that kidney problems are slow to go away....that made me feel better....today she groomed herself a bit, and has been sleeping on my bed.....she is very comfy at the moment. The vet said to call him at the end of the week to see what we should do next....all is not lost.....Thanks you guys....I know this isn't over yet, but you all made me feel so much better.

Love, JJ

I was encouraged to hear of the vet's comments that kidney problems take time...sure hope it encouraged you, too. It is hard to see our pets suffer and feel so helpless to do much more than what you have done. Seems like a good sign that she was grooming herself. :pulsinghearts:

I am sorry to hear that kitty is still not feeling well. It does sound promising that she groomed herself some yesterday. Keeping good thoughts for her and you!

I sure hope that she improves and it is so hard to go through rough times with your pet. A woman I work with has a 14 year old Chiwawa (sp?) and she is going through almost the same thing with her.
