Here's a little story I thought you'd enjoy being that you are in Florida!
2 years ago Jack, myself & my sister were catching a flight at Ft. Myers airport to fly home.
Well, I spotted these little 3" lemon & lime tress for sale at the airport.
Sooooo, I bought a lemon tree and my sister bought a lime tree. We decided to have a competition to see who could get them to grow!!
I have had mine in my living room window for 2 years and it has gone from 3" to now 21".. Today I took a 4 gallon pot and finally repotted it and have it sitting out on my patio. In the fall I will bring it back in the house and just keep going from inside to outside until it matures. Supposedly it takes 6 years to mature. Now, I'm thinking, if my growing luck continues with this lemon tree, where am I going to put this tree in my house when it does mature????? I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it!! My curiousity has taken over and I want to see the end product.
My sister didn't have any luck with her lime tree. She says it has only grown a few inches and she keeps saying that she's going to bring it to me!!!!

That is VERY COOL!! You must have a green thumb along with your culinary skills.
You'll have to get one of those plant things with wheels on the bottom so you can just roll it in and out.
I've never grown a potted fruit tree but I had a Ficus once that was about 3 or 4 inches tall when I bought it and it finally got up to about 6 feet (indoors). Might have gone higher but I kept trimming it. Not nearly as useful as lemons.
