Hi Wayne. Hope it all works out with you new doc. It is so hard to find one that understands your problems & is prepared to give you the time to explain all that you need to. So many of them just put you in a certain basket that they think you belong in & don't really spend the time that they need to. I have not been to another GI doctor since I lost my old faithful of over 30 years & tried another who just didn't understand & even questioned the descisions made by my original GI. Later found out he was wrong but he had alreaduy lost me. I am fortunate to have a great GP who understands all of my problems & I just stick with her.

I must admit though that the Uro-Gynocologist that I started seeing earlier in the year, although pretty gruff & straight to the point has done wonders for me & has given me back a large part of my life. Should have seen him ages ago.
Love

My "new" doc spent a lot of time with me on the first visit - much more than I expected, so I'm optimistic. I have an appointment to see him again on Friday, next week, so I suppose that's when I'll learn if he has a "basket" in mind for me.
That's certainly good news that your "new" Uro-Gyn has been so helpful - that's worth a heck of a lot. Just imagine - if he were a little more "sociable", he would probably be an awesome doctor.
Love,
Wayne

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I asked to hand carry my records when I left the GI....that way I could copy them for my files...good thing we did that Tex!! that way your new doc won't have to wait for records to come and by the time they come, he's forgotten which patient they were for....I'm discovering hte importance of being pro-active like that.
