Mammo's are covered ONCE every 12 months----but lf something is suspicious then U can have another and still be covered---
I have had this done many times----
Medicare starts full coverage starting at age 40 and older---and covers a baseline mammo for ages between 35 and 39---


Paps for cervial and vaginal cancers are covered every 2 years---but U can have a regular internal yearly---paid for~~~~

Can U believe that after all these years I was wondering how come I DIDNT have a PAP SMEAR---and wondering why only an internal Xam--*DUH*!!!!!


So I decided that every 2 years is fine with me---

Let's see if I understand this correctly:

I can continue to have a mammogram once a year, but pap smears are covered only once every two years?

I don't know what you mean by a regular internal yearly. Is that a pap smear?

Gloria---
right--mammo every year----and PAP every 2 years---but U can go every year to the GYN and on the off year U just have an internal Xam with NO PAP----

Years back I always had vaginal/butt exam PLUS PAP smear-

I havent the foggiest when they changed----
As I said--I felt so dumb --when this year I didnt have a PAP and questioned the GyN.
