Well I have to be totally *dumb* cus I locked myself outta the car!!!! Now when I say dumb U wont believe this----U know how we are so used to *clicking* the *open*---right!!!!
First I got the keys stuck in this compartment in the car---so I took my single spare key and went to CVS--finish buying stuff!!!!! and
READY!!! I walk to the car---and to my horror I realize I dont have the*clicker* --and I am staring at the door handle and in tears---
I walk back into CVS--ask to use the phone--call mr.L and yell HELP--
He comes sauntering into the lot and is laughing!!! laughing as I am -
He then takes me by the hand--leads me to the car door and says *look*
so I *look* and lo and behold there is the *wee* opening to stick in the *key* and open the door manually!!! So he takes my hand that is holding the KEY and shows me where to stick it into the *wee* hole to open the car door
Can U believe that I didnt notice this and if he wasnt home I would be sitting in CVS all day!!
I am a danger in remembering the common usage of old time things!!!
Well at least he laughed!!!!

Guess what I did!!!!!

Hi Mrs. Columbo,
All's well that ends well, as they say.
Not to worry, we all get used to doing things the same way, out of habit, and in the "panic" of the moment, it's easy to forget other options. I'm just glad that you didn't have to spend the day camped out in the CVS parking lot.
Luve,
Galahad

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Oh dear, Barbara...or should I say... Oh, dear Barbara!! I just had to laugh at your wonderful adventure....funny how it is when we are so used to doing things one way and then forget how we did them in the old days before electronic miracles showed up. Please don't feel bad...it is such a good story and I know you will be laughing about it soon.

Hi Barb.
At least you did not leave the engine running as a friend of mine did, twice. The second time she had a writeup in the paper in the Truth to Tell column. That was before the days of central locking & she always kept her car doors locked while driving. She had gotten out leaving the keys in the ignition & the motor running to make a quick trip into the bowls club to pick something up (both times) Pushed the locking button down & closed the door.
Glad that Lou took it all so well. He obviously enjoyed your embarrassment.
Lotsa love
