Hi Wayne,
I do hope Entocort works for you. I had to go off of it because of side effects. My blood pressure went from 112/77 to 163/110. I had chest pains, fatigue, weight gain, bruising on my legs and yes - headaches. It did in time control the D but made the rest of me a mess. Others here haven't had side effects. We're all different. Good luck to you.

Hi Wayne!
Interesting butt cream names!!!
I have always stated that I own stock in Tucks pads and A & D ointment!!
Both of those seem to help whenever the baboon butt surfaces it's ugly head!!!!
Hoping to hear that as your body adjusts to the Entocort that your headache and leg cramps diminish..
At the 3-3mgs in the morning does leg cramps seem to be more prevalent.
After lowering the dose to 2-3mgs. I noticed that the leg cramps subsided.
The Entocort started controlling symptoms for me at 12 days. But everyone is so different and I beleive it makes a difference pertaining to how much inflammation you have from the colitis.

Love

Hi Wayne,
It took 3-4 weeks before I noticed any improvement with Entocort. But once it "kicked in," I had my life back. Here's hoping that will be the case with you.

Welcome, Wayne, if I haven't welcomed you previously.

Entocort is one of my "choices". The other is Lialda. I rejoined the Worst Pills site today but neither drug was listed, so I couldn't look them up.

Wayne....my daughter used Boudreux's Butt Paste for her kids diaper rash....very funny name. As an example of how different our bodies all are....when I started on Entocort...my D stopped within 2 days and I was stunned!!! Others as you have seen have taken longer....hope your doc will work with you on this....I get leg cramps a lot....would like to try magnesium which is supposed to help but it gives me....you guessed it...Diarrhea!!! sigh.....
