Thoughts I Want To Share With Family
Monday, June 23rd/6:55p.m.
My Grandma Jacques (bless her heart) always said;"Never pray for lesser burdens, but for broader shoulders". I'm certain she didn't have any of the PP illnesses and if she had I'm certain she would have rephrased her thoughts. She loved growing flowers and believe me the majority of us PP could have put the fertilizer businesses in bankruptcy court.
I joined or signed up on this site only yesterday and already I've been so totally blessed with friendship of all ages, shapes, sizes and the list goes on. There's been; Joan, Tex, Barbara, Maggie, Hazel, Oma, Dee and I know I'm still forgetting names but I'm truly not omitting them on purpose. This message is to inform everyone; Old timers as well as Newbies that the most important "gift" I've received in the past 24hours is the friendship, brotherhood and love of The Potty People.
I've been able to focus on others instead of myself. And if you haven't realized it yet I want you to truly "think" about what I'm expressing. HERE I can help someone else smile, laugh and even shed a tear or two with them if neccessary to make them feel "important". Each and everyone of us is "special" and very "important" to each other. When we're helping someone else we have succeeded in leaving behind for just awhile our troubles.
I am so grateful and so truly blessed to have met and made such great friends and I'm not afraid to tell each and everyone who reads this post that "Jesus loves you and so do I"
Love and God Bless:
Jodi

Hi Shirley:
You responded to me last night and I forgot to list your name, I'm so sorry I tried to remember everbody but I wanted to get what I was feeling out and meant to remember everyone.
The people here have given me so much strength in the past 24 hours that you've already experienced yourself but I haven't had an anxiety attack since Sat. night and believe me, when the abdominal pain starts I panic and tense up which even makes things worse. Since I'm so excited about keeping in touch with people on the message board and hoping to welcome Newbies like myself I'm not constantly thinking about my problems.
Thank You so much for your thoughtfulness.
Love and God Bless:

Hi Jodi!!
Great statement by your Grandmother!!!!
You will eventually learn to not let the colitis take over your life.
After getting the correct diagnosis, which seemed like forever, and getting the symptoms under control, I made up my mind that this disease WOULD
NOT consume my life.
I was a prisoner in my home for over 6 months being in fear of going somewhere and having an unexpected accident. Trying to explain to family memebers was a waste of time & energy. They would just say that I had a case of the diarrhea!!!! Finally I copied and emailed to all of them information on MC and it opened their eyes!!!!!
Stick with us and we'll help you along your journey!!
Love
Dee~~~

Dee:
Thank You So Much for the words of support. There are so many thoughts running through my head like a run away train. This site and the people on here have helped me to get some of my confidence back as well as my self esteem.
Today I'm working on a post about "Wearing different Hats?" I'm so use to wearing the hat of a "Caregiver" that wearing the hat of a "Patient" is truly not my style. I just have to get up enough "gumption" to write it.
I've shut myself inside for a long time now and I've been thinking it may be helpful to start sharing some of my "inner bagage" and by doing this it will help me and possibly others. Do you think it would be okay to try this?

Thank You So Much Dee I really appreciate that. Have to admit it's a little scarry. I more confident here on the boards and with those who I know in my heart have been walking in the same pair of shoes that I wear. Yet there is another part of my heart that's really been hurt by those who are even closer to me who either stay away, gossip about me or think I'm being antisocial. I use to be quite out going infact I'm sharing this photo with you just for laughs but it also reminds of a time when I didn't have to hide inside.
For 13 years my husband and I were never addressed by our first names; David & Jod we were known as; Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus LOL Our greatest blessings of the Christmas Season was doing a party every year for Mentally Handicapped Children of Tuscola County. When we put those suits on we were not pretending or playing make believe. We loved making the children happy.
Enough for now, thanks for listening.
