Erin,
Most of us just e-mail a picture to Tex and he sizes it & puts it in for us.

Hi Erin,

Basically, there are three ways to do it. It's possible to use an FTP program to upload an avatar directly to the avatar gallery, (but you need to have a little geek blood in your veins to go that route. The more practical ways to go about it are to either go to your profile, where you found the the link to the avatar gallery, and use the window that has the instructions to enter the URL of an avatar that is stored on an off-site server, (using an image file of 6KB or less), or, just e-mail me an image file that contains the image you want to use as an avatar. If it needs to be cropped, or touched up, or whatever, that's no problem. Just tell me what you want the final avatar to look like, and I'll do whatever it takes to get the job done. As Shirley pointed out, most members go this route.

If you want more than one to choose from, that's easy to do, too. I'll upload them to the Custom Avatar Gallery, and you can select a different one whenever you want. Anytime you, (or anyone else, for that matter), wants a new avatar, feel free to e-mail me another file, (with instructions on your preferences), and I'll be happy to add it.

Tex
