When did you find out that you had MC, CC or LC?

I have only been on medication for about 2 months now. Tried going down to 6mgs of Entocort and guess my body didn't want to go there! LOL

I want so badly to gain some weight back but the foods I'm able to eat right now without problems just doesn't have a lot of calories. It gets so disheartening.

Hey Jodi

When I first got sick I went from 155lbs to about 118 lbs- I looked like a skeleton with skin... bone sticking out here and there and everywhere...
I went completely GF and DF (after taking the test at enterolab) and about 2 months later I was feeling much better. This was after taking Asacol, Enemas, Colazal, gasX immodium etc... then I took wellbutrin for depression and ativan for anxiety. Finally my doc gave me some entocort at 9 mgs and I felt better within a month. It takes entocort that long to kick in sometimes. And at the end of the entocort I started to go GF and DF. After 1 year on the diet I felt like a different person and now that i have been on it for over 2 years i can eat so much more. I now weigh 135 lbs but it has taken a very very long time to put that on.
Dr Fine test shows positive for gluten and casien but negative for soy, eggs, and yeast
Maybe its UC maybe its MC? Who knows at this point, but at least I know my intollerances now... so heres to the road to healing!

Thank You so much for the information. I am trying my best to watch what I buy at the store that is GF and DF as at this time the enterolab is more than my hubby and I can afford right now and Medicare won't cover any of the cost. So I am keeping a journal with med's, feelings and emotions, diet, questions to ask FP & GI and I do my best to write daily what I've eaten and if I had any reaction of Big D with it.
I am so grateful to all the help, info and suport from this site and have met so many great people.
Right now I'm dealing with some depression issues as not only do I have Colagenous Colitis but I was DX's with SLE (Systemic Lupus) in March of 1995. It took almost 3 years to fight to remission with the Lupus and sometimes depression and/or anxiety sets in and kicks my butt. That's what is happening to me right now. However, today has been a little better and tomorrow will hopefully be even better than today.
Love and God Bless:
Jodi
