BEST Day EVER

Post by barbaranoela »

Well the 4th was the best since our *old* neighborhood shindigs!!!!

Was invited down the road apiece----and it was the most ROBUST--LAUGHING--HAPPY'est time I have had in a very long time--

FOOD like U wouldnt believe--BOOZE -OMG--- yet it was the HOST and HOSTESS that made the day--
He is *loud* and *jovial* which kept U laughing all day---it would be --if U closed your eyes--while hearing him laugh that SANTA had to be there too!!! and his belly looked like a bowl full of jelly!!! sloshed as he laughed--

The kids jumping and swimming in the pool---having a *ball*
He could care less if the *sleepy-head* neighbors were being annoyed with all the laughter--his words--*its a holiday--time to relax--laugh eat and be merry---and then the fireworks were awesome---

I didnt want to leave--- but the party was over and tis a *home* where U could just walk over and Jerry and Maria would be pleased to sit out and just chit chat--

I felt like I was back in time----

then I did some cleaning today and found--*a metal shaped baseball mitt--attached to a stand with the inscription saying--
Mr. G---COACH--
In APPRECIATION--LINK BUFFALOS--1975!!!!

Louie and Robert were baseball coaches for the little leaguers----waaaaaaaay back--

Link was our school and the ball that WAS all signed by the kids--wasnt in the MITT--then I remembered that we placed the ball with Robert---

When Robert got his trophy--SIL--kept it for a bit and then THREW the WHOLE trophy OUT!!! :banned:

So I have set the *mitt* by L.'s chair----cant wait to see/hear his feelings when he gets a look at it--
Right now L. is up @ Lynn's redoing her driveway!!!!!

And I KEPT my MOUTH ZIPPERED!!!!

Hope U all had a wonderful day---

luve--

Barbara,

  for a great day, and a post that made me smile. That sounds like a traditional 4th of July celebration, and it's good to see that your neighborhood is doing a good job of keeping the tradition alive.

I'll bet Mr. L. surely will be excited when he sees that trophy again. That's neat.

Thanks for the post - your good mood is contagious.

Luve,
