and made one for the end of August with DO. Here's a novel idea, he gets an appointment with the doctor before his colonoscopy.

I can relate to that! I ended up with an EGD scope and also a colonoscopy before finally seeing my GI The last apt. I had was with her nurse practioner and I have another scheduled apt. to see my GI on the 21st and am not sure who will be there when I get there.
Love Ya:
Jodi
Why would DH cancell his apt? If you don't mind me asking. Depending on his age if he's never had one he really should follow through. I know how stubborn they can be but he really should reschedule. Hope things work out for you.

He canceled
because my GI is just too busy. She does procedures 3 days a week and has office hours one day. DH's rescheduling with new DO GI. I may switch to him, too.

Goodmorning Joan:
How was chat yesterday. Didn't get back from Saginaw until almost 4:30p.m. Decided to get lab work done while we were already out instead of having to make 2 trips this week. With the price of gas you do everything in one trip.
I really hope this new GI works well for you and DH. It's so important to have someone you trust and can comunicate with. I've been very fortunate with the Dr's I have at this time.
Love Ya!

Hi JLH
That happened to me. The endoscopy unit srewed up my appointments for the procedures for 8 months. I had seen my gi doc 3 times during the wait and he was mortified because he was looking for the results in my file lol!!A total waste of his time due to the endoscopy teams inconsistency. I have an appointment to see my gi doc in 3 months..gave me the diagnosis then said i would see my gp for meds. Gp made the script at the pharmacy and i aint even seen him. Feels like im left to get on with it huh!!!
god my pcs a slug

Agny,
I get the impression from reading your post that your GI doc does not do the colonoscopy exam himself/herself. Over here, SOP is for the GI doc to do his or her own colonoscopy exams. All other tests, though, (except for other endoscopies), are handled by someone else, usually.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
That sure introduces a lot of opportunities for something to be overlooked, or forgotten, in all the confusion. I'll bet the "system" "awards" the "jobs" to the low bidder, so that's why they're separated, (the "jobs", that is).
