Hi Jodi,
I noticed in one of your posts that you had just come from Saginaw. I used to live in norther lower MI and I'm heading that way in a couple of weeks. Did you by chance notice what the gas prices were like around Saginaw? I can't wait to go home to see my son's and grandkids but I sure dread the expense of the gas to get there. Sally

Sorry I didn't get back with you earlier but have had a very busy day with earlier Dr's apts. and helping oldest daughter set up for a garage sale this; Thurs., Fri. and Sat.

What a very long day it has been. Only had 3 major potty trips but all 3 left me exhausted.

Before I get off track here. We live in the Thumb Area of the State and the gas prices at this time are between $4.13.9 to $4.20.9 per gallon!

Believe me I really feel for you and the prices Michigan has and above anything else there are just NO jobs here anymore. Both parents have to work or move to another State for employment.

Hope your trip is safe and have a great time with your family.

Good Luck with your garage sale. I grew up in the thumb and later moved north. I know the economy is terrible there now. I'm just glad my son's still have there jobs yet. But it's tough. I guess we were lucky when we moved that we were able to sell our home when we did. With all of the homes now on the market that aren't selling. Boy, something sure has to happen in MI pretty soon to get things turned around.

Thanks for the info on the gas. It is still only $3.98 here.

I go tomorrow to find out the results on my tests that I just had. It will be interesting to see what he has to say. I'm tired of running to the bathroom....

I wish you the best on your apt. Have they started you on any med's at all yet?

I am new to this CC Dx's also and it has been a real challenge at times. My DI started me on 9mgs daily of Entocort 2 months ago and it has been amazing. It as really helped with the BIG D!!!! There are times that it still rears it's nasty head without warning. I keep a journal of foods I've eaten, medications, feelings and emotions. Hoping that it will help me figure out my triggers.

Tried to decrease my Entocort to 6mgs daily but had NO success with it right now. So for right now I'm still at 9mgs daily and will be at that dose for awhile.

There is nothing you can't discuss with these people at PP, and I mean absolutely nothing. Tex has so much information that he shares with all of us, he's like our walking/talking medical journal. LOL Dee has some great recipes you can check out and try that are GF. I've already tried a couple and she's got a gift all her own.

Keep in mind Sweety, that we all are different but yet we all share the same medical battle. That's why it's so important to let us know what's working for you and what isn't. Something you may share just may be the key for someone else to try.

Hope your trip back to Michigan is a safe one and hope you enjoy your time with family and friends!
