Angy, Please Check With Your Doctor About Your Symptoms

Post by tex »

It sounds like you're having an adverse reaction to the mesalazine. The symptoms that you described in your post in the thread about the chat, are not common side effects, and the manufacturer advises that you should always tell your doctor about them, if you have any of them, (feeling unusually tired or weak, feeling agitated or anxious, having a skin rash, etc.). I'm sure that your doctor will tell you to discontinue taking the pills immediately, if the mesalazine is the source of your symptoms.

Angy,

Well that's certainly good news. Maybe the GF diet is already working, and your gut is beginning to heal. Isn't Asacol, (mesalamine), the only med you're taking, (for the MC)?

Angy,

Is the rash gone? Are you aware that one of the listed possible side effects of cimitidine is skin rash?
