Emily had some hummus

Emily did not do well with the hummus. Very crampy and heart burn. Could be the chick peas or the lemon. Probably both.

Hi Roni,

Many have found that things like raw veggies and legumes are not tolerated until the gut fully heals, which can take up to 2 years!

Hi Roni,

I can't remember if Emily has problems with soy or not. This is a website that lists chickpeas as something that many soy intolerent people cross-react with. If not applicable, well you know, nevermind . . .

Hi Roni,

Just chipping in to say that I have had some trouble with chick peas too. I have a bag of them in my pantry but they will have to wait until I feel like experimenting again; I gave them plenty of chances before I finally decided to do what a lot of people here advices, namely not to eat legumes. You are right it could be the lemon too - some people are citrus intolerant.

I hope Emily is feeling better already.

Love,
Karen
