Why We Probably Should Be Eating Sauerkarut

Post by tex »

It seems to be about as close to a "super-food" as we can get:

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I have never found a probiotic that worked . Even the smallest amount of dairy or FOS in them created a huge problem. Sometimes not right away but when I quit taking them the problem went away.

The subject of fermented vegetables came up some time ago. I have become a firm believer . Eating them is a wonderful way to get the probiotics of yogurt with out having to contend with all the problems of dairy. I don't eat large quantities . A little bit every day. Slow and steady has always worked better for me as opposed to the big guns like VSL 3. An expensive mistake.

I don’t know.

Sauerkraut and other fermented vegetables is a small part of what has worked well for me.

I have learned to cherish those small parts. Learned to cherish my new sense of well being.

To your continued recovery.
