I'm Ready To Wrap My Family In Bubble Wrap

Post by jodibelle352 »

Hi Everyone:

Haven't been on much except to read and catch up on all the news and how different diets are working for everyone. Another check up today with my PP. Didn't loose my cool with the nurse as there was proof that she did mail my lab work orders, soooooooooooooo for some reason I just didn't receive it. Maybe my anger and frustration should be towards the U.S.P.S!

Anyway, had my lab work done before I even left the office today and Doc put a "Rush Order" on the results. I am also scheduled for an ultrasound on my thyroid on Friday at 2:00pm. Once those results come back then it will be decided if a needle biopsy is required.

Now about wrapping my family in "bubble wrap". I can not believe how soooooo many family members are going through medical struggles right now and all at the same time. They say;"God doesn't give us more than we can handle." But I'm telling you this is unreal and a total nightmare right now.

My nieces grandson; Chase is in a Children's Hospital in Florida. He's only 7 weeks old and just underwent surgery to repair the pyloric ? in his stomach as he has been throwing up continuously and was quite ill but is doing quite well now after the surger. I will be hospitalized for at least 1 more day then he should beable to come home.

My Uncle Jr. who is 76 just had emergency surgery where he was DX with colon cancer after removing a grapefruit sized tumor. He recently developed a blood clot that traveled to his lung which caused him to go into cardiac arrest. He's still in CICU and his prognosis at this time is uncertain.

My cousin Celie who is diabetic was transfered to Ford's Hospital in Detroit because after having surgery from breaking her femur bone she developed an infection on the bottom of her foot from where the cast was rubbing. The visiting nurse who was supose to be monitoring her closely at home apparently overlooked the seriousness of the infection. Soooooooooooooo, today an exploratory surgical procedure was being done to see if the infection was in the bone. If the infection has spread to the bone she will then be discussing apputation but still don't know exactly how much of her leg will have to be removed.

Last night a was chatting with my cousin;Frank and his 39 yr old daughter; Dana has been DX with breast cancer, she will be operated on Aug. 20th. She went to the doctor just as soon as she found a lump in her breast. Well, the lump she found herself wasn't cancerous, it was a lump that was deeper in the breast that she couldn't feel and didn't even know was there that was cancerous.

Will you please keep my family members in your prayers please? Right now it seems like we're being attacked from every direction. Also if anyone has any "Bubble Wrap" they wish to donate to protect us all please contact me! LOL

Love and God Bless You All:

Jodi,

Wow! Your family really has had more than it's share of medical problems lately. It's high time for a turnaround, and hopefully, better times ahead.

Love,
Tex

Thank You so much for your kind words of support. Just needed to share this with you instead of keeping it inside. I've been trying very very hard to get through this GAWD AWFUL depression but with so many from both sides of my family facing these issues is overpowering at best. I just hope these labs and ultrasound tell a little more about my weight loss and not being able to gain weight back. Today's weigh-in was 94lbs. And that was not acceptable once again to me. Haven't had the Big D as of late and with David's love and support I'm doing everything I can to Let Go with the "stress". So I'm just totally confused and very uncertain about what comes next.
Oh, Tex, I miss getting e-mails letting me know that others have replied or that there is a new post on a posted subject I've been following.
Thank You once again.

Love and God Bless:

My prayers will be with you and your family, Jodi. You sure have your plate full right now.

I also pop my bubble wrap. As a mater of fact, I have a sheet on my wall at work - (we received something at work wrapped in it) - they are the BIG BIG bubbles too! I pop them to relieve frustration! Scare the heck out of co-workers too!

Take care of yourself Jodi and try not to let the stress get you down.

Lots of hugs,
Mars

Morning Jodi,

You have every reason to be overwhelmed right now with all the medical issues facing your family and your continued lack of weight gain. You and your family are in my prayers. Don't have any bubble wrap but if I did, I would send it.

Love, Maggie

Mars and Maggie:

LOL Love everyones interest in "Bubble Wrap" it was the only thing I could think of at the time of my post to express my concerns for all those in my family who are facing some really traumatic medical situations right now.

I'll fix everything! Wrap them ALL in Bubble Wrap!!! LOL

Friday I have my thyroid ultra sound and by the first of the week hopefully I'll have some answers that I need. I'm staying away from the things that cause abdominal pain, cause D and upset my ulcers but I am still able to eat and I am eating. Infact even the Big D is no longer a daily happening. So I don't understand why I'm not at least gaining something? I would celebrate with just gaining half a pound but 94lbs just isn't acceptable to me.

Thank You for carring and sharing with me.

Love and God Bless:

Your family is certainly having more than its fair share of medical problems. It's very encouraging that you are no longer having the big D. Hopefully you'll start getting some explanations for your lack of weight gain.

I checked your profile, and it's properly set up, so there must be a problem with the code. Can you give me an approximate idea of when this problem might have started?

Tex:
I haven't been getting any notifications from Pfarms since you sent me the e-mail about the changes you were making.
So it's been over a week now that I've received any notifications by e-mail notice.
I do miss them because receiving them usually pulled me out of my "pitty potty party" and got me focusing back on helping others instead of stuck in "depression".
Thanks:

By changes, I'm pretty sure that you're referring to when the board was down for a while, when it was moved to a different server, (that was about 10 days ago). I think that's probably when I sent the e-mail you're referring to. Am I right?

Whenever you write a post, is the "Notify me when a reply is posted" box, (below the message-composing window), already checked by the system, (it should be).

I'm beginning to suspect that something might have happened when the board was moved to the new server. This may be a little tricky to resolve, since so far, at least, I haven't been able to spot anything wrong with the code in the files that deal with those notifications. It may be a problem due to server settings, or possibly due to a different version of the php interpreter on the new server, (IOW, I think it uses a newer version of php, and a different Scripting Language Engine), but I don't see why that would cause a glitch of this sort. I'll poke around and see what I can figure out.

Sorry for the problem. I wonder if this is affecting anyone else's account. The system properly notified me, when I checked the "Notify me when a reply is posted" box for this thread. Am I the only one that it works correctly for?

Please ignore this post - I'm just testing the "Notify me when a reply is posted" option, to see if it works with a moderator account.
