Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland is compiling a registry of those who have Collagenous and/or Lymphocytic Colitis. To view their GI Research page click here http://hopkins-gi.nts.jhu.edu/pages/lat ... ease=29#20 .
This is the only research site I have found that is specific to CC and/or LC. Johns Hopkins is compiling their registry for future use and no trials are imminent. Nevertheless I registered as I feel it's important to be on the record.

OMG
I went to the Johns Hopkins site to register and read the LC and CC info there. In the diet area it mentions low fat diet and elimination of foods with lactose and caffeine but NOT a word about gluten!

Hi Joan,
No, you're not the only one who disagrees with Johns Hopkins' position on gluten. Unfortunately, like most medical "experts", they endorse the "official" "medical establishment" position, regarding gluten, which is, "if a patient is not a celiac, then gluten sensitivity is not a possibility". That's a real shame, because otherwise, they have a very good reputation for medical care.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
