WOOHOO!!!!

*HAPPY DANCE*

I just wanted to thank Karen, Polly, Tex, and everyone else for their support and suggestions this week. I just finished a 7.5 mile run and didn't have to stop to use a bathroom not ONE SINGLE TIME! The changes/modifications you have suggested to me have made a huge difference already...

This is a biggie for me.....I've never been able to do this so far in my training.

I'm feeling really hopeful for my future as a long distance runner......

I've grown quite fond of all of you in such a short amount of time, and consider you all my family. Thank you again for helping me out. I'm sure I'm going to have some setbacks along the way, but today was a GREAT day, and I am thrilled!!!

Enjoy your day everyone!

Love,
Jill

Thanks Jill,

For making my day. There's no better way to start the day, than by reading an upbeat post such as yours. I hope that by the day of the race, bathrooms will be waaaaaaaaaaaaaay down the list of things on your mind.

Love,
Tex

Thanks EVERYONE!!

I hope this is a trend that will continue. I did find out over the weekend that the course for my 1/2 marathon will have 2 porta-potty stops available. I'm crossing my fingers that I won't need them, but it's nice to know there will be someplace to stop if nature calls.

Polly, upon your recommendation I bought some Almond butter....YUM! That stuff is awesome, thanks for the tip.
I've stopped eating peanut butter, green beans, tomatoes and cucumbers, really I've eliminated all the fresh veggies that I was eating. I'm sure the extra fiber was not helping my gut.
I'm eating chicken and turkey, a little red meat....also cooked up some brown rice and rice pasta over the weekend, and prepared "mini-meals" with them that I am going to keep in the freezer for a quick meal.

I'm hoping once the race is over I can incorporate some veggies back into my diet, but for now, my intent is to eat as simple as possible to keep my tummy happy. I have 7 weeks to go (from yesterday) until the big day.

Thanks to everyone for being with me thru this!! I really appreciate it!!

Love,
Jill
