I went to the website but they don't list the ingredients in them. Thought that was very odd. Or at least I can't find any ingredient list for any of their products...

More vit D

Post by Lucy »

Grannyh,

I know how you could double your vit D intake. Come on over, ya hear! Now that the tornado took care of the shade on our flower beds, things should really grow for ya. Haha!

Yours, Luce

Grannyh your gardens are BEAUTIFUL!!! How I wished my yard looked like yours. Are you a professional landscaper? Wish you were here in New York as my yard needs all the help it can get!

Love,
Carrie

It was an ugly lookin' thing wasn't it. Soon as I saw it I thought "uh-oh, copperhead".

Thanks for all of the compliments on the yards. They look better in pictures than they do in person... you can't see the tiny weeds....LOL

My husband and I have totally different opinions on how a yard should look. I like NEAT he likes JUNGLE! I have spent months this year cleaning out the jungle look. Hopefully, it will be easier to maintain next year!

Although I am pleased with the way the yard is turning out.. I must admit.. I HATE yard work! The only positive thing I can think of now ... is that at least I am getting plenty of Vitamin D....LOL

I had purchased some Blue Bonnet vitamins (Iron Free Mulit One) some time ago and stopped taking them when I had massive D. My husband has been taking them. I am trying them again now that I have removed peanuts from my diet it seems I can eat a lot of things I thought I couldn't. Maybe it was the peanuts all along.... I should know in a week at least if I can take the Blue Bonnet Vitamins. Then I have to find extra C and D I guess.... for the calcium prescriptions for osteoporosis to work...

Vit C

Post by Lucy »

grannyh,

Don't drink 20 glasses, but if you could drink a good bit of orange juice, some potatoes, and things such as broccoli (think it's supposed to be high in vit C), perhaps you wouldn't have too much of a hard time getting the right amount, but go slow with the addition of each of these, ok.

Oh, and what about tomatoes?
Wow, I really need to find a list of foods high in Vit C. I would think the juices, whether fruit or veggies, would contain lots of easily digestible nutrients including vitamins. Do you think you could make some of these yourself? Do you own or can you borrow a juicer? I've never used one, so don't know what all can be juiced in one, do you?

Has your doc ever suggested you take fish oil (high in omega-3), so this would be for your good cholesterol (to raise HDL)? It's also supposed to be good for one's collagen, and the gut repair, I've heard. Just thought I'd throw this in, just in case you've not tried it before. Perhaps some of the experts on the board can suggest the name of some of them that would be best to take, and that helped them.

By the way, is the soil out in Cypress clay or more sandy loam, or what? Just heard the other day that folks in NY pay $3o for ONE Hempstead watermelon -- can you imagine that?! Anyway, Hempstead has sandy loam, so thought yours might be as well.

Yours, Luce

Our soil is more like clay.. no future in crops in our backyard...LOL

My HDL is already quite high. We eat fish at least once a week for dinner and I have the EatWell tuna every day for lunch.

I am trying a small amount of orange juice over ice to see how that goes. Have taken the Blue Bonnet vitamins for three nights with dinner.

I assume with all the time I spend outside I must be getting enough D.

My only problem for awhile now is extreme bloating as soon as I eat anything. Very uncomfortable but no D.....

I am about 6 weeks shy of having CC for three years. I have to say I am better off now than I was three years ago... but still hardly comfortable most of the time. At least I am not filling diapers 10 times a day or more!
