Hello all
I have not been back on the board for a while but I have been ‘flat out like a lizard drinking’ as they say. That is apart from my computer woes. I don’t remember if I told you that the el cheapo mother board that those crooks who ‘fixed’ my computer a few weeks back put in but it turned up its toes. I did not bother taking it back to them under the extended warranty. I though that I would cut my losses & just let my fiend fix it for me. He has put in a new mother board for me & has it running pretty well. Robert phoned the insurance people about it & the crooks rang & wanted me to take it back to them but I just told them what I thought of them.
Lost all of my links so googled to find our board again.
I held the first computer training for VIEW members day yesterday up at Maroochydore. Had 16 turn up. I have 3 helpers & it went very well but I was very tired last night. I also have a problem with my left knee. It has been giving me problems for a while but now it seems to be getting worse. All the stairs up to the computer room yesterday did not do me much good either. The pain was really bad last night. Have to go back to see my doctor, probably tomorrow. I am going back to the physio on Monday. She is really good but she worked on my back & gave me exercises to do but I think that it was one of them that made the leg worse.
Between bowls coaching, VIEW Zone & constitution stuff, & the computer courses I don’t have time to turn around.
It is grandson Luke’s 15th birthday on the 3rd & we are going up to Marcoola on Sunday for a bit of a barbie for him. I just don’t know what to give him. He usually likes clothes but he is getting such a big boy it is very hard. He does body building. I hate giving money but it will probably be better to just give him some & let him choose what he wants. That way it will be sure to fit him.
Better go do some more housework. Robert is vacuuming & I usually go behind him with the mop. We are a pretty good team.

I'm glad that you're finally back - it's been a while. Sorry to hear about your knee. I've noticed myself that stairs aren't as much fun to climb as they used to be. It sounds like your physio may need to rearrange your exercises a bit.
You surely have been busy - that doesn't leave you much time to just relax and take it easy.
15 is a tough age to shop for - I don't envy you on that little chore.
Did you ever get enough rain for the water conservation restrictions to ease up any more? We had a pretty dry spring, and a really dry May, June, and July, but here in August, (usually one of the driest months of the year), we've had almost four inches, (about ten centimeters), of rain. It's summer here in the States, of course), and I assume that you're beginning see the end of winter, and the beginning of spring.
I'll bet you two do make a good team - I wouldn't want to be a speck of dirt on the floor, about now.

Hello again,
Found the solution to Lukes Pressie. Jane is taking him shopping today so that he can try on & she can buy stuff that he like & that fits him , bring it home & wrap it up and I can fix her up for the damage.
Going to go shopping shortly to buy the ingriediants to make him his favourite dessert, Tiramisu. He always asks me to make it when he comes to stay, he just loves it. Jane told him that I was making it & he said I was 'Awesome'. He is a funny kid. He told me one day that he had a strange grandmother but that was cool because he wouldn't want a normal one.
Did not know whether to be pleased or not.
Getting around on a stick today. I always thought it was 'Old' people who used walking sticks. I am not even 67 for another week yet.

I want to be fit week after next as it is our annual VIEW Convention. It is being held in Brisbane & I have never been before. My friend Ann & & will be staying down there for three nights. Started throwing stuff in the port already so that I d0on't forget anything.
