Happy 4th...We are heading out of town!

Post by Umber »

Off to the in-laws in Wenatchee, Washington to spend the 4th. We are taking Kylee so they can see her before the move to Maui. I am worried about the car ride....she doesn't like being in the car seat for very long.

Everyone have a very safe and happy 4th!

Love to my potty family!

Lori,

I grew up in Wenatchee, and both my kids live there now. I go over there all the time. We are going to Winthrop for the blues festival in a couple days.

Sally,

I was at the water front blues festival last night, and going again on Sunday. I kinda thought you might be there, so I was lookin for you last night. I didn't see you...we got there about 3 and left after Buddy Guy.

There sure were a lot of people there!
Have a great time!! Have you gone to the one in Winthrop, WA? Great fun!

Hi Kathy...Did you know the McDougal family in Wenatchee? We used to go to their Apple blossom party when I was young (early 1960's). Their apple orchard was at the junction of the Columbia and Wenatchee rivers...if I remember correctly. I loved going over to visit. I think their son Scott was about my age and maybe they had a son Stu???? that was a bit older. I remember that they lived in a cool old white farm house.....TTFN.....Jill

I sure do!!

They had a lot of money in that town!! They had their own fruit packing company too. I think they still might. My daughter knew their grandaughter. Big family. I bet it was a great time. My daughter used to go with Danelle up to their ranch on some weekends. They always had a lot of fun. This was in the 80's, but I remember them in the 60's too.

Hi Kathy! That is so cool! Wenatchee sure has grown in the last 40 years! I was there a few years ago and couldn't believe the changes! It is very nice, but isn't the small town I remember, but.....It still has those beautiful hills that I love so much!

Bye for now....JJ
