Crocheting my fingers off! LOL

Post by jodibelle352 »

Hi All:

I know I haven't posted lately but I've been busy filling an order for 50 thread crocheted Snowflakes. Arghhhhhh!!!!!!!!! I only have 4 more to crochet then the fun part starts. Heeheehee!!!! I get to use Aileene's fabric stiffener (which is watered down tacky glue) and soak all these little snowflakes then stretch and pin them down on a styrofoam board. LOL Let them completely dry for 2 days then ship them out.

I sure wish I had someone in my family that loved to crochet like I do and wouldn't mind helping me do these things. But since I have NO TAKERS or HELPERS that leaves all the good stuff to just me and my hubby; David.

Since my get together with my kids last Wednesday at least one of the three has returned. My son William called yesterday and asked if he could come over and watch football with Dad and spend a few hours with us. It was really great having him hear, spread out on the couch with his shoes off getting all hyper over plays, touchdowns and sacks. LOL  It was like having him home for one evening while he was still in High School and I would sit in my chair crocheting and he and David enjoyed football. Still nothing from the girls yet but who knows maybe they'll get over Mom telling it like it is or maybe they won't. But I'm not going to dwell on what they are thinking and feeling. It only makes me upset and I've spoke my peace they know Mom isn't going to roll over a play dead anymore. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. :pigtail:

OMG! I made the Lemon Pound Cake that was posted! If you haven't tried it yet it is a MUST!!!!!!!!!! Awesome!!!!!!!!! It's even better if you put it in the frig to get cold before you eat it. YUMMY! I really loved it.

Please don't worry, I'm not slipping back into any severe depression, but I am concentrating on getting this BIG order for snowflakes finished so that I can relax. I know Christmas is still a few weeks away but an order of this size I need to get finished.

Love Ya All!

Great to hear from you, Jodi. You sure sound very busy in a good way. I wish I had crocheting or knitting skills. Good luck with your order. Be happy you have had plenty of lead time.

I love your doll things and wish I had a grandchild......

I'm very glad your son visited. I hope the girls will soon.

I'll have to try the pound cake. I did get coconut oil on our trip to Kroger.

Joan:

Make sure you do try this recipe, it is delicious. Both David and I enjoyed it and our son and his wife took some home last night because there was lots left over. Heeheehee

My daughter-in-law (I love her dearly) is NOT into cooking or baking! Arghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! She try's but would rather take home left overs and desserts to go. LOL

Love and God Bless:
