Well Duh! IBDs Linked With Depression & Anxiety

Post by tex »

Hi All,

Medical researchers have finally documented what we have always known - if you aren't already depressed before being diagnosed with MC, (or any other IBD), you soon will be.

At least now the doctors will eventually be aware of it.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Double Duh!

Post by Carol Arnett »

Tex, you continue to amaze me with the things you find. You must read continusally. I have to say "Double Duh" on this one. And who wouldn`t be depressed? I guess common sense does not prevail with some doctors and someone has much to much money to spend on these kinds of studies. Love, Carol

"How Great Thou Are................."

I almost fell on the floor after reading this post! DAH! DAH! DAH! DAH! and a big DAMN!

Depression? What depression? You have got to be kidding me? I never would have guessed that any of us also suffer from some type of depression.

I weighed in again on Tuesday and have jumped from 94lbs up to 96.5lbs. Dr. McDougall saw me as I weighed myself, came up behind me and said "How are you doing? Is your depression any better?" It surely didn't take him having to read an article like this before he realized that I've been struggling. Thank God some in the medical field don't wait before they reach out and show some concern. DAH! Give these researchers a GOLD STAR! Actually I would like to flip them a "California Howdy"!

All of us struggle each and everyday to keep ourselves "positive" and finally there's some big break through and an article such as this to confirm what we already know and have already been living through. If it wasn't so important to get this information out and give others knowledge about our illnesses this would be truly funny. Guess it's better late than never to address our issues.

Sorry for venting but this is something that common sense should have been able to tell them.

Love and God Bless:
Jodi
