No such luck on the drying out, we have rain for the next 2 days...then Ike's arrival...the only saving grace of having a ranch at the top of a hill. Downside is that wind, we have had some of those sustained windstorms, and it is rough on us and the animals....not to mention all our trees, fences, barns, house..etc...I bet my laying hens won't lay for a week once this all goes through...the poor working girls are going to need the trauma center....
Stay safe...don't keep that big ugly storm playing in your neck of the woods to long....
Hugs.

Hi Wayne,
I just saw the forecast predicting Ike to hit Texas hard around Galviston, Houston. My thoughts went to you as I know you are in Texas - none of you MC friends are ever far from my thoughts - in fact, I probably think of you countless times every day, weird as it may be
Wayne, I read your posts on this thread and I understand that you are pretty far from the coast, thus not in immediate danger - I am glad to know this. Living in South Carolina for almost 20 years has taught me that even if you are very far from the coast where a hurricane makes land fall there can be many other very dangerous situations associated with the storm. I hope you will take all necessary precautions and do everything you can to stay safe and out of harms way.
It is wonderful to see how alive and well your web site is and how much you continue to inspire and help people living with MC, newly diagnosed as well as "oldies".
You know I love you!

Hi Karen,
Wow! Thanks for the kind words. You make me . You know of course, though, that it's not really my web site - it belongs to you, and everyone else who comes here seeking support, or offering support, and you've certainly done your share of providing support, in the past. We've all put a lot of effort into building this site, and filling the database with good, helpful information, and I agree that we should be proud of our work.
We must be on the same wavelength, because I think of you often, too, and I'll bet that's true for most of the members who were here when you were posting regularly. We've been through a lot together, haven't we. It would be great if you had the time to post regularly, again - if not soon, then maybe someday.
Hey, you know I love you too.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Wayne, don't be so modest. We all know that you have made this "home" what it is.. not only by your personality and willingness to help but your technical expertise as well. Now, I know you don't consider yourself to be an expert but anyone who can dig out information AND understand it AND put it practical use might as well be called an expert in my opinion.

Karen..........sure glad to see a post or two from you and I still think of you often as well. Miss you but hope you are doing SUPER.
