Hotrod,
I used to suspect Salmonella every time I got sick, when I first started having reactions to gluten. Finally, as the episodes became more and more frequent, I decided that it had to be something else, especially when one day the D started, and after a couple of weeks, was still going strong.
This time, though, I only had one episode of D, and that was 3 days ago - I haven't had a BM since, so I don't think it is/was Salmonela. If something doesn't happen pretty soon in the BM category, though, I'm going to start thinking it might have been an MC reaction, or at least, it might have ended up as one.
Regarding Ike, other than a huge amount of property damage, mostly along the coast, I believe that everyone came out pretty well. It certainly could have been much worse.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
