I thought I read that it was ok to eat chili - minus the fingers of course !
I had a big bowl for lunch and the gas pains are awful!

It's GF, but it does contain many other ingredients, such as corn, and I believe soy, if you are avoiding either of those. I don't recall if it contains any dairy ingredients, but, of course, it would if you used their cheese toping..
I am only eliminating gluten at this point. Don't know what the prob is.
One step at a time I guess.
BTW - didn't add cheese

When did the problems start in relation to eating that chili? If it was that same day, it may not be anything in the chili, but just that you're still not handling fat very well, and chili should have lots of fat, right?
On the other hand, the peppers/tomatoes COULD be a problem to. Hope not! I didn't think about the corn issue. Do any of these give you problems that you know of? I strongly suspect that enterolab will have a test for corn available soon, but maybe the newer ones WON'T include corn -- who knows? These are certainly well guarded secrets before they're available to the public.
Ooooooh, the BEANS!!!!! Beans cause gas, right? Think you can order the chili WITHOUT beans if you wish, but might seem more watery. Try it next time, and be sure to tell em that you're allergic to both tiny amounts of bread (like crumbs) as well as tiny amounts of cheese so that they'll be especially careful to use uncontaminated stuff in making yours.
I personally can't eat chili anymore - it's the beans that cause me gas and LOTS of pain. I wrote to Wendy's and asked for a complete breakdown of ingredients but they wouldn't give them to me :?:
The first time I checked with them, I picked up a list they have that gives about a paragraph for EACH ingredient of every dish.
I don't eat fast food now, hardly EVER, and it's because my level of trust is sooo low with regard to contamination, but when I hafta, I go to this location in our neck of the woods because the people there seem more with it. Think it's cause the managers are on top of things. Can see why they get so many awards, and this is a PICKY neighborhood!
Also, I go inside where I can see everything they do -- change gloves, etc. I would imagine that the chili would be the LEAST likely to get contaminated, but then all I can see is it get dipped out of the well they keep it in, sooo..
If all the managers would follow their allergy procedures, think they'd all be alright.
I think their burger meat tastes LESS processed when compared with the big M, but that's just me. When you eat the patties minus the bun, you notice the taste lots more. One good thing about Wendy's is that they now have fruit cups so you can get a combo with a small one, a drink, and a bunless burger. I don't use pickles or sauces (mayo or mustard) so don't remember what's in those from that list.
Not sure what I did with that list, but perhaps someone who goes by one more frequently than I could get one of those (more recent list), and post the ingredients of the chili from there. Sometimes those places run out of them, but you could request they get one and hold it for ya.
