Hi All,

If you would like to have a place where you can keep track of possible adverse effects of various meds, before the FDA goes through the entire analysis process, and actually acts on them, bookmark this site. It shows a list of problems reported for various meds.

You still may have to do a little research to figure out what the risks actually are, however, in some cases. For example, Purple Glove Syndrome may not sound all that serious, but it can lead to the amputation of both arms. Another noteworthy observation, is the Tumor Necrosis Factor, (TNF), Blockers, which are being reported as causing cancers in young people and children. TNF is overproduced in many IBD patients, so TNF blockers are often prescribed for them. This group of drugs, often called miracle drugs, includes Remicade, Enbrel, and Humira. The shadow of cancer, makes them appear in an entirely different light, unfortunately.
