Calmoseptine Ointment

I don`t know if any of you are suffering from a sore bottom but if so, Calmoseptine is like a miracle ointment. Four years ago it cleared baboon butt up over night. I didn`t have to use it this time but they gave me 2 tubes at the hospital and I have been using it on a rash Harry has and 3 days and it`s over. I have used it on my dogs hot spots, as well.

It is RX only but really inexpensive...less than $20.00 at most pharmacies.....4 oz.. tube and it lasts forever.

Hi Carol,

I agree! One of the nurses that I work with told me about that. She used to do Home-Care and they used if for patients. I had to ask for it at the pharmacy but I did not need a script, they just had it behind the counter. I carry it with me in case of a "bad day." I only wish that I had had it when I did the prep for the colonoscopy! My butt was screaming that day!!!!

Happiness will be when the day comes that I don't have to carry Butt Cream in my purse!!!!!!!

For my colonoscopy prep the doc said to use creamy Desitin. (I think that's right. I can't find it right now, naturally.) It worked perfectly and was a lot cheaper than $20.
