Maggie about Hummers

Post by annie oakley »

Mike and I have a large number of hummers here. We spotted two of them that had a white breast (large amt of the breast) and alot of red on it not the throat as the ruby throated have. Then one was almost biege with alot of red on it. We have alot of ruby throated hummers amd a whole bunch of babies this year. It's like an old fashsion world war one bi-plane dog fight when they all get going. Sometimes there are to many to count.

If you ever want to see something interesting, go to one of their bird bandings at Ft. Morgan AL.

Morning Oma,

You described them perfectly as bombers. They are very defensive regardless of their size and so territorial. Forget one day feeding them and they will let you know.

Love, Maggie
