New pet deer!

Post by JLH »

The new deer/dog fence got us a deer trapped in our back yard. I opened one of the gates. I'm waiting for DH to get home..........

Presumably, the deer will leave on it's own. If not, be careful - deer are a lot stronger than they look. IOW, don't even think about trying to wrestle him or her down. They are all muscle and sharp hooves, (and in some cases, sharp antlers).

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

It got scared by DH and smashed through the bottom of the plastic mesh fence. It's family had just left it after a while of it struggling to get out. He/she was spotted but not too tiny.

We need to rethink this fence....securing it at the bottom if we are going to have a dog. It also needs to be moved because I was sick when they installed it and it is clearly visible when it should be hidden in the woods. I won't tell you what I think of DH (nor what I said) for this goof up.

Hey Joan:

Now I don't want to be seeing you on the National News showing how you pistol whipped DH because a deer busted through your glass window or patio door and was making itself at home in your livingroom or family room.

Nope, it's gone. Love to know how it got in the yard. Maybe the same way it left. The fence is 7 and a half feet tall.....plastic mesh. I guess it is really strong because the deer was hurling itself at it. The deer and it's Mom (I guess) were making noises to each other.

I had them install it by weaving it in the trees to give it more stability.
Now DH gets to re-do it. AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGG.

I'm only angry about the placement of the fence. The whole idea was to HIDE it.

Don't you just love it when men don't follow directions or see the reasoning behind our request. Guess we'll just have to live with it or at times they just may have to re-do it. Heeheeheehee!!!!!

I was going to say, deer can jump pretty high fences. Surprising it didn't just jump out, but if its one of this year's babies, that explains a lot. Hope it caught up with its herd after getting free.

Surprises me, around here we can buy 7 or 8 foot high deer fencing, but you can't get 8 foot fence posts to save your life!

We had to order it online. We couldn't find a single source for it around here.
