Telephone consult with Dr. Fine

Post by JLH »

Has anyone had one? Should I talk to the nurse there first? Is she free since I've done all their tests.

Joan,

If you've ordered tests from the lab, they are usually quite willing to answer any questions that you might have. I've found Phyllis to be very knowledgeable about most aspects of the lab work. Depending on what kind of questions you have, she could probably either answer them, or consult with Dr. Fine, and get his opinion, and then call you back. If you are interested in a long, detailed consultation, about matters other than the test results, then you might need to talk with Dr. Fine, but Phyllis should be able to tell you whether or not you need to do that.

Yes, Polly has exchanged e-mails, phone calls, etc., with Dr. Fine, Dr. Fasano, Dr. Lewey, (the food doc), and no telling how many other experts in this field.
