Also wanted to add I also tried acupuncture----it didnt help but it surely relaxed me--was the most terrific thing I ever tried---actually fell to sleep during one session--
I had to stop after a few sessions due to the fact that he wasnt an MD--so insurances would not pay and at $75 2x a week that was kinda a bit too much for me to continue-
and his name was Enzo Sinatra-- --yup every one asked him the same --* are U related to Frank*
He would say===I WISH!!!!
Barbara
PS---and now I say GOOD MORNING
This is in reference to Katy-Dids---being the first summer that they have chatted away ALL night long---I had no idea what they were--so not being used to hearing their chatter(boy they are a HUGH grouping of a family) I had to plug my ears~~~~~~
I know many people find them soothing and luve to fall to sleep while they chatter away!!!!

Barbara,
I am hopefully acupuncture and herbs will do some good. My sister is an acupuncturist, though she is 3000 miles away in Tucson. I can only afford to go once every other week, you are right it is expensive. It is only 65 a treatment here in Montpelier, but even that is more than I can pay every week.
I will let you know as time goes on if I am having any relief. I have had relief from other problems with acupuncture (menopause symptoms, athletic injuries, etc...).
Just came back from a beautiful day of foliage viewing and a short hike in the colorful woods with my partner Dave. Please tell me apples and apple cider are ok for MC, foliage season without them would be almost unbearable.
I am at a point in my cycle of MC where the constant diarrhea is gone. It is bad in the morning, but if i take anti-diarrhea pills all morning the rest of the day is ok. I can do hikes for now. When it cycles thru again in the bad stage I will not be able to do much.

Andi;
Apples and pure apple cider are fine on the GF diet, but at times the fiber will activate diarrhea. If it doesn't bother you in that way, they are great!
I really miss the fall foliage since I moved from the midwest to Deep South Texas! However, here we enjoy summer-like weather most of the year. I just returned from swimming outdoors with my 2 grandsons, and I have clothes hanging on the line in the sunshine. So, I comfort myself with what I have rather than with the change in temps. Of course when the midwest is having major snow storms, I continue to enjoy swimming outdoors and don't just have to comfort myself with it!
Enjoy your hikes and take an extra one for me!

Those who are not part of the solution, are part of the problem.
