DH brought me 4 Dum Dums from the fair. I'd ordered funnel cake and other good stuff.
His Kiwanis Club runs the fair so he has to work there.

dum-dums
Camryns mom,
Please be careful if you buy Dum-Dum suckers. Since I can`t have much in the way of sweets, my DH got a bag of them for me to satisfy my sweet tooth. Only problem is, about halfway through they come off the stick and could be very dangerous for your little one. Don`t want any choaking along with everything else you have to deal with. Carol

Thanks for the info.
I actually looked these up on Saturday. Camryn had her first ballet class and they gave out dum dums at the end. She started eating one before I could stop her. I looked it up when I got home and was pleased to find out they were gf. She is allowed to eat them, but only if we are sitting right there with her. She usually chews them :)

Now that Camryn is taking ballet, the book No More Cupcakes, Tummy Aches might really be something she'd be interesting in hearing. I don't know if it is appropriate for her age but you could paraphrase if it's not. Maybe Santa could give it to her......
One site said age 8. Here's info:
"Izzie wasn't very tall for seven. Not even for six. Or five. Even if she stood on her tippy, tippy toes, her pony tail, just reached the top of Daddy's chair." So begins the tale of the little girl who believes that by eating lots of cupcakes, she will get tall, maybe even tall enough to be a ballerina. Too many cupcakes cause a tummy ache and the trouble starts. Living gluten-free isn't a piece of cake until Izzie learns that being special is really what makes you tall. Beautifully illustrated and with a foreword by Alessio Fasano, M.D., Director of the Center for Celiac Research, Lowell's charming and emotionally honest tale, complete with resources and a real-life happy ending in the form of a gluten- and lactose-free cupcake recipe from Whole Foods Market Gluten-Free Bakehouse chef Lee Tobin, will live in the hearts of parents and children for generations to come."

If you have young children or grandchildren
Here's a Christmas book idea. I gave it to my daughter's fiance's daughter and she LOVED it. My girlfriend's twin grandson's did too.
I think I may give it for a new baby gift.
