Angy:

It's also important that you stay on a consistant schedule with your meds Sweety. Going without or taking it at in inappropriate time could also be part of your problem. I'm on Entocort and my GI has drummed it into my head how important it is for me to take it every morning as close to the same time as possible.

None of us like having to take the meds but it truly is important to take them regularly and on time. Maybe you could start taking them earlier in the morning before going to work so you don't have to feel self-concious about taking your meds at work.

Hi Angy:

We all do dumb things now and again. Medication happens to be one of them. When I first went on the Entocort it was supose to be a 6-8 week thing. LOL Somebody doesn't know how to count because it's now been 6 months and anytime I've tried decreasing the dosage the Big D comes back full force. Sooooooooooooo I take my 9mgs daily each morning and don't even try now to decrease the dosage. My gut just won't handle it at this time and that's why I have a GI who can tell me when it's safe for me to come of it slowly.

You just hurry and start feeling better. Need to know that your going on vacation and your having a great time.

Love and God Bless:

Hi Angy:
Glad to see that you are back on the boards again m/f (my friend). I sure have missed everyone myself as I've been keeping myself very busy with crocheting different items to list on an auction site my niece suggested to me. I'm starting to get lots of "look sees" I'm just hoping that I take off and start selling some of my creations soon. Starting in November the orders should hopefully start picking up and I'm hoping to sell more. I have had 3 sales since August and according to my niece I need to pray for some patience as this is a very new auction site that is very reasonable for listing your items and she feels that things will really start picking up once the word get's out about this site. If you would like to check my lastest items that I have made just go to www.horsengoggle.com and when the Home page comes up just click onto Crafts on the left hand side and you'll beable to see everything I've done so far as I'm the only one making "handmade crafts" LOL.

So glad to hear you're feeling better and that the thrush is FINALLY leaving you alone. That can be such an annoying complication as well as very uncomfortable as well. My love and prayers are with you and truly hope things start changing for you.

I've been doing pretty well being on the Entocort for the Big D. Infact this past month I've only had 2 incidents of D which were very imbarrassing and humiliating. David and I were at quite a BIG chain store here in the U.S. called Wal-Mart on the 3rd of October. Once a month we go there do our monthly shopping when David receives his Social Security. Welllllllllllll.............we were in the check out line and I was waiting for the clerk to finish when I started feeling ill and knew that the Big D was on it's way without warning until then. My husband who is on oxygen 24/7 had gone to the front of the store to return the Amigo Cart he was driving around in to help get what items he could to help out. Anyhow, I paid for our purchase and asked the clerk if I could leave my cart at the end of her counter while I used the bathrooms in the front of the store and she said;"No problem." When I reached the Ladies Room there was this sign which said;"Cleaning Restroom". There was NO WAY that I could wait so I walked around the sign and went inside. I have a card from the Crohn's/Colitis Foundation that I carry explaining that I have a medical condition and "Thank You" for being understanding and allow me to use the restroom as it's an emergency. Needless to say, the 2 men working in the restroom didn't give a fat rats ass about the position I was in and told me they were cleaning this restroom and I needed to go clear to the back of the store and use the restrooms back there. They didn't even want to see my card or even took the time to read it they just didn't give a damn. PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can probably guess that I didn't make it to restrooms to the back of the store which seemed to be at least the distance of a football field away if not longer. I had messed myself and was really upset with those 2 men who wouldn't allow me access to the restroom in the front of the store. My clothes were soiled and I had know way of leaving that bathroom with any dignity as my underwear as well as my pants were wet from cleaning them the best I could in the toilet in the bathroom.

Some lady heard me crying and I couldn't tell you her name or what she looked like. She just came to my rescue from some where in Heaven. I told her what had happened and she helped me by handing my warm paper towels to clean myself with etc. She then left and told me she was going to try and find someone to help me but that she would be right back. OMG!!!!!!!!!! This beautiful angel put under the bathroom stall a Wal-Mart bag containing a new pair of undies and a pair of draw string pants so that I could come out of the restroom.

My husband and I reported the incident to the store manager and he said the 2 men were still working and he would handle the situation as soon as he could and "thank you" for letting him know what happened. He did say he was sorry for what happened but didn't seem to care what my name was, what my address or phone number was and I felt I at least deserved an apology from the men who chose to not allow me access to the restroom when I asked.

That happend 9 days ago and I'm still upset about the incident and once again back to not wanting to leave home in fear of not having access to a restroom again. It's so imbarrassing Angy and right now I'm so damn angry at the store manager as well as the 2 men who wouldn't let me go to the bathroom.

Sorry I'm venting so much, I just thought maybe if I got all this pent up anger out that maybe it would make me just a little less depressed. Why can't people learn to show some compassion and understanding for other human beings?

I've taken up way too much of you time now so will let you go and hope you're doing well and brought lots of beautiful memories home with you from your vacation.

Thanks Jodi, glad to see you posting  hope you are well!!

Oh my god!! jody that is so bad to be treated that way...I would certainly be putting a letter in writing to that store manager without doubt... Its embarrassing enough to feel the need for an emergency toilet let alone having to be totally stressed about getting into one  and then having to confront someone with the problem..

Your husband must have also been getting stressed out worrying about you trying to get some relief. Shopping centres and stores are really the worst places to get into a bathroom without them being full with parents and kids etc..

Ive been in that situation a few times, thankfully we have pretty vacant public toilets over here that pretty much no-one is ever in.. Now thats the kinda loo i like

You probably do... but i gotta mention...take an extra pair of undies with ya and slip then into your bag...you could always put them in a little cosmetic bag incase they ever fell out of your bag..Also a pair of cropped or long leggings in their too they can fold up to be quite small..You will be relieved if you have them with you when or if it happens agian (no doubt).

Try not to get yourself upset now that its over (well physically anyway) but you get that letter of complaint into that store and tell them u aint gonna shop there anymore...and wait for a reply...you never know they may apologise with a surprise..

Look after yourself :bigbighug:

Jodi;

That letter needs to go to the store manager, with a copy to the home office of WalMart!

Just my 2 cents worth!

So sorry, Jodi. What is wrong with those jackasses? I think I would have started screaming at them to get out.........

I totally agree, you need to send it to Wal-Mart headquarters as well as your store manager.
