hmmmm
I wonder if Barbara has musical talent, since I sure do not!
My 18 year-old is starting to have a stomach ache after eating eggs, and I started that when I was about 21, so I'm worried and I am talking to her about processed foods and junk food alot lately. Not that I'm sure that egg intolerence had anything to do with the MC. The past 5 months I've been thinking constantly about different signs over the years of getting this.
I certainly don't wish MC on anyone. Especially my daughters. Sheesh!
I DO NOT FEEL LIKE WORKING TODAY!!!!

Very nice pictures. I wonder if there's any way to predict the likelihood of your daughters getting MC? From what I can tell, (and I'm certainly no geneticist), there seem to be a couple of genes involved, at least for gluten intolerance. I think the Enterolab site has some information about how many copies of a gene you carry, and what that means for passing it to or getting it from first-degree relatives. There seems to be a definite genetic component to autoimmune in general, but it may present differently in different family members. For example, my grandmother has diabetes, my mom has hypothyroid, I have a lovely cocktail...but I don't know of any close relatives who have the symptoms of MC. FWIW.

PS--I have no musical talent either!

Just to jump in here with family info - both my son (only child) and his wife are band directors in public schools!
Also, I fear for a gluten intolerance in their two boys because I have discovered that avoiding gluten controls my MC, and their other grandmother has Dermatitis Herpetimorphis (may be mis-spelled, but that is the skin disease treated by a gluten free diet). So, if there is a gene for gluten intolerance, I positive those boys have it
Babsey - the pics are great! Thanks for sharing them!

Those who are not part of the solution, are part of the problem.
