...............What a horrific situation........... I can't imagine how this could have ever happened...............OMG!

Tex, your note will HAVE TO CHANGE attitudes at Wal-Mart, as I'm sure you have educated them on this Medical Emergency.

I always thought it was kind of in-appropriate, and a tad creepy that men clean the ladies rest room to begin with, especially in the middle of the day, but that's probably just me. Besides the store is open 24 hours a day, why not clean it on the night shift?

Hi Joan:

I'm truly grateful for your love and friendship. As well as all of those on these boards.
I only messed myself, it's the support I receive from everyone here where my Guardian Angels come from. It's become abundantly clear that I need to grow some back bone and become more vocal when others do things that just are NOT right!
I just didn't think fast enough or maybe it just didn't cross my mind to be agressive and force the issue with these 2 men. What I do recall the most is that I truly needed to use the restroom and I didn't want to draw anymore attention to myself by yelling a screaming at the 2 idiots cleaning. Maybe I was hoping if I stayed calm I could make it to the back of the store in time. I truly don't know.
All of us do our very best to protect ourselves and sometimes our best just isn't enough and when others who have NO CLUE of what they have done becomes apparent it really hurts.
I didn't call the attorney, my brother did because he was so angry with what had happened. Once again I just felt like crawling into a hole and disappearing.
There is so much with this desease that we deal with on a daily bases that other just DON'T want to understand so they distance themselves from us and others like us. They say all the right things to our face but then they don't follow through because the issue makes them uncomfortable.
Thank You for the site about Ally's Law. It broke my heart to see such a young girl suffering the same exact humiliation that I did. This is soooooooo sooooooo wrong to treat anyone in that manner.

Did you sign the letter at the site about Ally to help get her law passed in your state? At least your state is one considering the law.

It's kind of crazy that EVERYONE isn't afforded restroom access. One gas station we stopped at on the way home from N. Georgia had a sign that the restroom was available to paying customers only!

Jodi, you were just acting politely, I'm sure, just how you've been taught to act. Those guys were just STUPID JERKS of the greatest magnitude.

Yes I did go to the site and sign it. I could not believe how brave Ally is and how hard it must be for this young girl to continue to relive her experience over and over again to change so many lives. Bless her and her courage.

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words about my e-mail. I suppose we will soon know how Walmart's corporate office handles an issue such as this. I hope they don't handle it by ignoring it, but we shall see.

Thank You Tex for everything as I told you earlier and mean everything I say about you and how you are able to word things in such a way that always amazes me. I don't know what Wal-Mart will do either "if anything". I just truly feel that a genuine apology and the assurance that this issue has truly been dealt with in away that gives Wal-Mart employee's knowledge and compassion for customers who at one time or another find themselves in a very troubling situation. I am not asking for the 2 employees to loose their jobs nor am I asking for their heads on a platter. But I don't deserve to be dismissed as if this DID NOT happen and that's how I feel. I feel that even though a copy of my card was taken and what seemed to them as all the right words spoken. One thing was lacking. They never cared enough to get pertinant information from me so that they could contact me a later time and date to assure me that this issue truly would NEVER happen again to me or any other customer.

Jodi, I know what you mean about Ally, she's absolutely amazing. I had posted about her previously but you must have been crocheting away at the time. (You need to post your Santa and wife picture so everyone can see how very talented you are.)

I'm so glad your state is one that is considering Ally's Law. I wish all of them would.

I'll tell you that either age or this disease (or both) has made me more vocal with my docs. They may fire me!

LOL!!!!!! Hi Joan:

This young lady is amazing as I said before. Her courage is outstanding and I cannot believe how classy she is by continuously telling her story just to change a society of "idiots" who made a choice to embarrass and humiliate her. Thank You so much for sharing her story and the sites with me. Even though my part is small at least knowing that by signing that I have contributed to this bill/law in some small way.
I don't know if anything if Wal-Mart will even acknowledge my e-mail or even Tex's but at least we've done our part to try and make them aware and hopefully make a change in their orientation program by making all employee's aware that at times customers have special needs and they need to comply and make things easier without making their situations worse.
How have you been feeling? I will post my photo's of Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus so others can see what I made. I'm glad you enjoyed seeing them and appreciate my work.

P.S. Everyone! Joan wanted me to post my latest creations that I have already sold. It's very knew but I feel if I'm patient that with time my items will start selling. If you click onto "crafts" you will go directly to many of the items I have made. Then just go to "storefront" and everything I've made is there. Hope you enjoy browsing the items I've created and made.

I'm not just sitting around forgetting about my friends here, I'm just working very hard to possible get make work out there and possibly make a little extra cash in the process.

Walmart is NOT a nice company. Do all y'all know about how they treated their employee Debbie Shank? I'm sure you can find it on the Walmart Watch site........

That is unbelievable and very sad.
After reading and watching the video of The Shank Family I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for a reply nor an apology. Why would they give my situation the time of day when all I did was mess myself and The Shank Family they take money away from them which was needed for her care.

Right now I'm truly thinking it will be a "Cold Day in Hell" before I do anymore business with Wal-Mart.
I am speechless. What I'm truly thinking isn't fit to post on these boards.

I did copy down the site and will give Wal-Mart a chance to respond to the e-mails from Tex and I. If we don't hear anything within a few days maybe Tex will have some ideas maybe telling my story on this site would be a good idea.

Adding my regrets that you had to go through such a difficult experience. I hope that your and Tex's emails get you an apology at least. Sometimes it means so much just to know that we have been heard. I probably would have done exactly what you did in that situation...tried to make it to the back and then thought of all the things I wish I had done and/or said, later. Unfortunately, so many of the giant corporations show very little care for those who support them--either by working for them or by being customers.

On a happier note, just wanted to compliment you on your crochet work! Especially your Mr. and Mrs. Claus. I have great admiration for people who are good at any sort of craft, because I have neither the talent nor the patience. At one time I was a children's librarian, and when I made sample crafts for craft time, I always said it was great because my sample actually looked like a five year old made it!
