Gloria,

Would you like for me to split off that post on page six, and use it to start a new topic in this forum? We could name it something like, "Reintroducing problem foods after attaining remission", for example. Or, you could just copy and paste the text from that post, (and re-word anything as desired), into a new topic. I think this is excellent information for anyone going through the process of using diet to control MC, and I'm considering assigning it a priority, so that it, and this thread, would always remain at the top of this forum, so that newbies or anyone browsing this forum, would not be likely to overlook them.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Sure, you could split it and start a new topic. Since I'm still in the process of determining "safe" foods, could you create it so that I could continue to edit it? I'm also considering posting sample menus that I ate while I was trying to figure out my intolerances. I could post that as a separate topic. I'm sure there are others who could add the menus they used while still learning.

I should mention that I'm flying out to visit my daughter tomorrow and will be visiting her for a week. I usually don't have as much time to post while there.

This is how it would work, (I split the two posts above off). Unfortunately, though, if I split off the post were talking about, the system will presumably consider that to be my post, and you can't edit someone else's post, (unless you're a moderator). Once someone else posts after your own post, then you will no longer be able to edit that post, either.

Obviously, there's a way around that - I can promote your membership to moderator status, and then you will have all sorts of additional editing powers. Since you should certainly qualify for that, just say the word, and you're a moderator, (I see no reason why you wouldn't make a great moderator). Several of our original moderators no longer, or rarely, post these days, anyway, so we could certainly use your services as a moderator, IMO. LMK.

Thanks,
Tex

P S Of course, all this can be taken care of after you return from your trip.

I'm sorry I haven't replied before now. I had over 500 unread posts when I returned home! I'm still trying to read them all.

Sure, you can make me a moderator. I'm not sure what it entails, but you can let me know. Otherwise, I could just copy and post it - but I don't think it would stay at the top of the list, would it?

No problem - the board has been rather busy lately, hasn't it.

I'll try to set up the moderator change tomorrow, (when I'm awake, and have plenty of time to do it right, hopefully). Please remind me if it slips my mind, and I don't get it done.

We can assign a priority number to a topic, to make it stay in a certain position in a forum.
