I have had to restore my computer a couple of times this year and lost a lot of stuff and this link. The third service pack for Vista totalled my computer.. found out I had to disable hyperthreading for the service pack to install.. never did enable it again and the computer works fine. Had a virus and the fan went bad so it was in the shop for two weeks.. twice.

So far the entocort is keeping me in remission.. one a day. Thought I would never get down to one a day.. took over two years to do it!

I hear you on the computer problems. I've had to replace a lot of parts this year, on the one I'm using right now, and a couple of weeks ago, I had to restore the "C" drive image, due to a virus that popped up every time I booted it, even though my anti-virus program would quarantine it each time. I finally tracked the parts problem down to an unstable/inadequate power supply, that apparently was starving some components for power, and every so often, it would fry one. Before I figured it out, it got two hard drives, a video card, and the motherboard, one at a time.

It's great to hear that the Entocort is working so well. That information on how long it took to get the dose down to one a day is excellent information for any one else using it, especially newbies thinking about trying it. You can't find valuable information like that anywhere else but on a discussion board like this.

Thanks,
Tex

WOW Granny------interesting post---for a long time I was taking meds for OSTEO and I did suffer with PALPITATIONS--which is why my retired GP insisted that I had MVP---grrrrrrrrrrrrrr----never a thought of OSTEO meds--and his SPECIALTY was CARDIOLOGY!!!
One day while listening to my heart he said QUOTE *is your heart JUMPING around??? well hell it sure was but that day it was overly beating~~~

Now I am once again furious with myself for not being KNOWLEDGEABLE -----I hated that man but Lou was the leader of the band --he liked him so along I trailed!!!

Thanks much!!!

I second Barbara's WOW, Granny. I also had heart palpitations while taking Fosamax, and osteoporosis med. Since I stopped using it over three months ago, I don't recall having any palpitations. I never would have associated the two without your post.

I'm happy to hear that you've been able to get down to one Entocort per day. I was so glad when I reached that milestone. It wasn't much longer after that that I was able to get off of it completely.

As Tex wrote, we are the recipients of so much valuable information from this board.

All of the osteo meds gave me terrific stomach pains and I decided that if my body didn't like something maybe I shouldn't take it no matter what the GYN docs said. It was suggested that I put up with the once a month discomfort to protect my bones... but I had to wonder what else might be going on and what other effect the meds might have. I had already read that the osteo meds could cause deterioration in jaw bones and thus cause all kinds of dental problems. I already had dental problems and didn't need more.
