HALLOWEEN NIGHT--the best

Post by barbaranoela »

It has been many a year that I really enjoyed :happyhalloween: night---
I knew our community had moved on with the younger folks moving in along with their youngsters and the soon to be born babes -- until last night --I realized just how much--
And how intergrated our surrondings streets have become--

The kids were terrific---the *wee* tots were so adorabally costumed and so *shy* and when I said *U cant take 2 or 3 pieces of candy---their *eyes* lit up and *in their little hands went to grab another piece* Their costumes were amazing---sorry I didnt have a camera ready~~~~~

We had orientals---blacks---combinations of mixed marriages and the parents that traveled with the younger set were so delighful to chat with~~~~

This is so precious---the little guy cross the street---whom I have never seen--*parents very protective*said when I opened the door---^this is YOUR house? - taking a good look in and I said *yes it is and he says *well it looks just like my house*
I was hysterical---L. was upstairs making his *pizzas* and he heard the little guy and was *cracking up*

So all in all,I was sorry to hear the last doorbell (which chimes a Christmas tune)--YES, it surely does--L. changes the tune for the occassion!!! Tooo funny~~~~~~

Hope all of U had the same ~~~~~~~

The kids don't really Trick or Treat around here anymore. I think they just go to church or community centers because of the safety issues. I really miss all of them. I also miss decorating the house for them.....

I'm glad you had a great Halloween.

Hi Barbara!

This was my first Halloween in my new house...not sure what to expect....my house is set off the road with a wooded driveway to the house....but, I ended up with about 10 kids! I agree, the little kids in their costumes were adorable. Most had parents with them, but no one stopped to really chat. It was fun...I had a great Halloween...glad you did too!

Love, JJ

Sounds Like alot of fun, Myself and SIL spent halloween (from 7pm to 1am) in the er at Hendricks hospital in Abilene with our Uncle. We had gone there for a BBQ. But found him not well. In the end we found out her had an infection. He had been working 5 weeks straight with no day off (At 76 yrs old) He has a pace maker and we were afraid there was something wrong with it. But we dropped him at home at 1:30 am (His brother stayed all weekend with him) But while we were at the hospital there were some real strange people there. Everytime I went outside there was a guy that looked like he was wierd and followed me outside. Around midnight he tried to talk to me. I looked at him and said, " I have a concealed carry license, do you really want to keep talking to me?" He left me alone finally. But that is how I spent halloween this year.
Love toall Oma
