Thanks, her color is still a mystery, either a dark dun or a true red..guess she hasn't decided on a paint job yet... We have decided on a name, she will be registered as CMR ( Crescent Moon Ranch ) Nimue....aka, Nim, and it's looking like she will be staying her, don't think I can sell this one down the road, just to well put together. Might train her under yoke, like I did her mother, then she can be a cow with an education....

Hugs,
C

I haven't posted about my digestive problems because I haven't truly been diagnosed with MC. My doctor said IBS...but when I read about MC it seems more like the problem, especially the link with use of NSAIDs and fiber making things worse. So right now I'm just reading and learning.

Thanks, Tex, for the explanation of calf timing.

And I love all the photos--she is beautiful, I just want to pat her little curly head!

When you train them under yoke, are you then using them to plow?

Sunshine,

The difference between IBS and MC is usually a biopsy. IOW, when a doctor fails to take biopsy samples during a colonoscopy, or sigmoidoscopy, the default diagnosis is IBS.

You're most welcome,

Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Hi Sunshine...

Her mother is trained under yoke, but I don't use a plow with her because I don't do any farmimg, she pulls a manure drag, hauls fallen limbs after wind storms and any other heavy moving that I need her to do. I am disabled, so both the service dog and the cow help out and are trained to pull under yoke or harness for the dog..... when I need something heavy moved. I guess that makes Piper a service cow....
