July 5
Mid-morning:
Very dilute caffeinated Folger's instant
1 Envirokids PB rice bar
Early afternoon lunch:
About 4 garlic medium size shrimp with a mixture of veggies sauteed in olive oil (both insoluble and soluble veggies, the soluble part being squash this time mostly).
Plain white rice.
Caffeinated Coca Cola.
Evening meal:
Fixed my secret sauce for thin center cut pork loin chops, and cooked em on the grill pan.
Fixed an alternative to the usual Asian frozen mixture of veggies, so didn't have the starchier veggies (like sugarsnap peas), but at the moment, can't remember WHAT was in last night's veggies except I did throw in a few mixed bell pepper slices for a little zing.
Anyway, put some Oriental Seasoning mix in em, a few drops of toasted sesame oil, and a generous portion of raw, whole cashews.
During the day, my grazing foods included too many gf potato chips, a few cashews, and besides some GOOD tasting mineral water, had more Coke, both caffeinated and decaff with real sugar. (Trying to keep hydrated.) Can't remember if I had any OJ or not, but think last I had of OJ was when my bil made me a slushy on the 4th out of their snow cone making machine. (Are they called "slushies" or "icies"..can't remember?)
Oh, think we also had some gf corn chips with salsa yesterday.
(Ran out of our frequent snack of fruit on the 4th -- just so you know MUCH of our snacking lately is on fruits, I just ran out!).
May have finished off the Celestial Seasonings Mint flavored decaff Green tea Tuesday night also. Drink that straight.
Better post this before I lose it.
Yours, Luce

Mid-morning:
Diluted caffeinated instant Folger's.
Envirokids PB rice bar
Early afternoon:
Ground Beef Tacos in corn masa/crisp shells
Corn chips with avocado salsa
Re-fried pinto beans (forgot to prick em! Ha!)
Avocado slices (instead of cheese)
Iced tea with cane sugar (Don't know why, but all of a sudden, I'm adding sugar to my iced tea. Used to always drink it with just lemon.)
Didn't eat the corn tortillas -- not enough room in my tummy.
Evening meal:
Nuked a left-over pork chop and sliced a half a tomato with S&P, and a safe Drew's dressing (think it's Italian Roasted Garlic or something close).
(Lite dinner cause still feeling the beans from lunch! Ha!)
Only snacks today were Coca Cola, I think. Today, fresh out of green tea, and still, no fruit in the house that isn't frozen -- waah!
Don't remember anything else, it's too hot to think!!

Oh my - you are all saints compared to me and my diet, and I thought I ate pretty healthy, before I read these posts!
Every morning at work I have a bagel with jam. This of course is preceded and followed with non-stop coffee, coffee, coffee. Then I have nothing else til lunch which is about 2:00 p.m. I have a light sandwich (reduced-fat bread, one slice of turkey or ham, and one slice of cheese with a bit of mayo) and a HUGE bowl of fruit. Then when I get back to the office, it's non-stop grazing on candy for the next 3 hours. Yes, chocolate every day, but try to cut back on that by substituting some sugar-full, fat free stuff. (what a heroic effort, huh?) This is all washed down by more coffee, of course.
Dinner can be almost anything, depending on how busy we are/how much time we have. Some nights I have a salad and nothing else. Some nights a fast-food burger. Other nights I make "breafast" (scrambled eggs, sausage, toast) cause my hubby loves breakfast for dinner. We do a lot of pasta, and a lot of hamburg, and yes, tons of chicken, too. And then I have to have something sweet before bed, so it's either more chocolate or some dry, sickening-sweet breakfast cereal. (heroic effort again, trying to cut back on chocolate).
The only way I can justify eating all that candy in a day is by playing racquetball a couple of times a week. On the days that I don't play, I really DO try to eat less junk and more good stuff.
And since I noticed that I put on a few pounds last month, I stopped eating ice cream - isn't that admirable?????? LOL

Diagnosed November 2004, Used Asacol and Lialda, sometimes worked, sometimes made it worse. Entocort always works but hate it. Remission only lasts 3-6 months and then back on Entocort. Enterolab test July 2017, now gluten free. Time will tell!

Don't feel alone, Sue. I have tried VERY hard to improve my eating habits since I got MC and gained so much weight in such a short time. So far I can't tell that the change is doing anything for me. Depressing to say the least.
Giving up ice cream IS admirable. I hadn't had any for 2 or 3 months, then my husband came home with a half gal. of Bryers natural vanilla (my favorite with choc. syrup). I ate most of the carton myself. He KNOWS I can't/won't resist it if it's in the house.
Anyway, you are NOT alone!!
Love, Shirley

I'm with you guys on the sugar cravings. I have to admit that they have gotten better after being corn free for so long. When I really want something sweet, I eat a can of fruit made with sugar. That usually does the trick.
I do dream about eating sweets, mostly dairy ones. Like the other night I dreamed that I ordered a big bowl of ice cream and got mad because they put whipped cream on it because I'm dairy intolerant! I could taste it in my dream.
What I ate:
Coffee for breakfast
Potato chips (BestMade) and sardines for lunch
Grilled steak and sweet potato with cinnamon. Steamed asparagus.
Homemade lemonade before bed.
