Dr. Nicholas Perricone

Post by ronipow »

Dr. Nicholas Perricone was on Larry King tonight. he is promoting a new book the Perricone Promise (something like that). How to look 10 yrs younger in 28 days.

His belief is that the foods we are ingesting are causing underlying inflamation to the whole body. He also went on to explain that not many peolple can tolerate wheat. Now, where have I heard that before. So, he suggest salads, fruits and veggies, lots of fish, light on red meat and no sugar, starches or potatos. I think that sounds pretty Paleo to me.

So, guess what guys. You all must have turned back the clock and look years younger with your MC diet.

Perricone's comments about wheat

Post by Lucy »

Hmm, this is the first I've understood him to mention that wheat caused inflammation. I've heard his lectures over and over on the PBS fund-raiser, and not caught THAT part.
Think I DO remember that he talked about inflammation being a problem, thus the anti-inflammatories, so this is an interesting development.

Like the guy, and he looks sooo young for his age. He does/did research at Yale, and has lots of books out -- big on supplements for everything, and eating a healthy diet.

Now, I'm wishing I had the book! Ha!
Yours, Luce

Roni,

I think I may have waited too long before I decided to try to turn back the clock. LOL.
