The Downside Of Clinical Trials - The Moral Issues

Hi All,

Should those who are willing to participate in clinical trials, with the goal of improving medical care options for everyone, have any rights? Or are they just "lab rats"? This hits close to home, because I had a friend in a similar situation, who died of colon cancer a few years ago, after the pharmaceutical company sponsoring the trial, cut off his supply of the drug that was shrinking his cancer.
