Preface: I really appreciate Tex's suggestion to consider ordering the online tests. My Kaiser plan will not pay for this. Thus, I am going to try BRAT and elimination. If I can't figure it out, I will order the tests. Also, I am NO LONGER taking Pepto B.

BRAT diet

Pre-Brat-D even w/Pepto, severe D, battery acid battery-acid-most always associated with milk, or other dairy products, loosy goosy, acid indigestion, X20 on antibiotics for sinus infection, strange circular sores that appear on inner arm, pimple type thing on breast. Moodiness and depression

Day One
Organic applesauce, bananas, rice w/butter, Himalayan salt and granulated garlic, herbal hot tea, Crunchmaster Multi-Grain certified Gluten crackers (I really love crunchy foods and this is great!)

Results-beginning of Day Two:
happiness, terrific mood, soft serve X4
What a difference

Day Two
Added to day one chicken grilled with garlic granules, a few spoons of black eyed peas and turnips (canned), salsa and corn chips-now I NOTE spices, tomatoes can aggravate. Heard today from a friend with MC that her dietitian said to avoid darkshade veggies which are white potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant.

Results-beginning of Day Three
Happiness, terrific mood, soft serve X3, one loosy goosy

Day Three
grilled chicken, banana, applesauce, tuna fish (canned) w/Trader Joe's Tahimi Mayonnaise (now I NOTE that canned tuna could send off S intolerance), 3 small glasses of red and white wine-I now NOTE this wine includes sulfite (which I have reactions to). Wine can also include eggs (I was allergic to as a child), molds (which I am allergic to). I was feeling so terrific that I also indulged myself with 6 Hershey kisses with almonds. Today I am paying!

Results-beginning of Day Four
Not so happy but not depressed, persnickety and easily agitated. I want to feel like I have for the last 3 days! Today I am back to totally BRAT.

Day Four
applesauce, rice, gluten free crackers. Loosy goosy D X6 w/floater

Results-beginning of Day 5
Kinda tired, don't feel negative just don't have too much energy, excitement or enthusiasm. I had a house preview today and it was like "big deal." (My houses are for sale through RE agents) It is 2 pm and I think I need to take a nap.

Results re skin: I have been using medicated chest rub on the sore on my right arm for 2 days. I did so because it feels so much better than antibiotic ointment. It is starting to heal! FINALLY! The pimply looking thing on my left breast has not changed. I noticed two red dots have appeared on my chin. I go for biopsies tomorrow.

Results of additional blood work. VIT B12 Mine:288 180-914 pg/mL is normal
PCP says I don't need meds. However, I have self-prescribed 500mcg of B-12 sublingual dots X2 daily.
The foliate acid test results are not here yet.

Day Five
banana, rice, Some stomach cramps last night and this morning, soft serve X 3.

It's amazing how well and how quickly you respond to the diet changes!!!

Thanks so much for pointing that out. I will keep reminding myself of that  and hopefully that will serve as motivation to stick with this.

Tex said after I reach remission, I'll be able to eat chocolate again. I'm holding him to it.

I can eat a very tiny amount of the Enjoy Life (HA) Chocolate Chips. In fact, the last bag is hiding somewhere in the freezer. My freezer has never been so full since going GF.

The new Enjoy Life Sunbutter bars aren't as bad as some of the others.
