Fantastic Leafy Greens

Post by Polly »

Hi All,

Some of the healthiest veggies are leafy green veggies......kale, collards, mustard, turnip greens. I recently discovered that Glory Foods is now packaging them, precut and washed, in large bags. There are no other ingredients added. One of the bags contains a mixture of these greens!
I know it's best to do them from scratch, but this is so convenient. Plus, for the mixed greens, one would have to buy a large bunch of each kind, which may spoil before being used up.

Also, Trader Joe's has a bag of mixed rainbow chards (with some other greens too, I think, maybe kale?) that is marvelous!

For those still having trouble digesting veggies, cook greens until very soft.

Love,

Polly

I am getting scared to eat meat. Red meat, chicken, turkey, etc. My brother knows about meat since he's a retired farmer. He said never eat "Jimmy Dean" or processed meat like them. They put all kinds of crap in their meat and I agree with him. He told me to eat seafood. Never buy your meat from Wal-Mart. They put pink stuff in their meat to make it look bigger or something like that. Somebody in the meat department told the news about their meat and the word got out into the public. We have to be careful what we put into our mouth because we are getting sick as a nation. More cancer, more this and more that. I eat no fast food anywhere.
