It is difficult to judge just how small the birds are - but they are still lovely.

My husband and I both loved the pictures!!

Karen, did you notice the last picture in the series where they laid a toothpick and a penny across the nest? Hard to believe they could be that small but I look at the ones at our feeders and they are about the size of my thumb - maybe.

They are amazing little creatures.

I didn't even notice the many pages of pictures until you mentioned it - I have now scrolled through all of them and I saw the penny and toothpick. Wow, incredible how small the birds were!! The photographer must have had a very good tele-lense.

Wow, that is very cool. I've always really liked humming birds. They don't seem to come around our house much, but then one of our cats is a bit of a hunter. :(

Awesome pictures momster.THANKS. I never see hummingbirds here but do at my folks place in in northern Minnesota. I can watch them for hours.
