Hostess with the Mostess

Post by gaea »

I don’t know where to begin. I had such a wonderful weekend. Vancouver is such a beautiful city, I just loved it.
Peg spoiled me rotten, wouldn’t let me pay for anything, waited on me hand and foot. She was a little slow with my Mexican coffee one afternoon, but I just hollered at her to hurry up and she was right there with it.
I’m afraid I may have ruined it for anyone else wanting to go to Vancouver and visit Peg & Ron. I was trying to be on my best behavior and I’m not quite sure what I did to blow it. So Ron had to tell me nineteen times to tie my shoes, big deal if I got stuck in the elevator and it wasn’t my fault when they took me to a beautiful restaurant on the water for dinner that I didn’t notice the long piece of toilet paper stuck on my shoe until I walked all of the way through the restaurant. I know Polly wanted to visit the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. That is a few years off so maybe Ron will recuperate from my visit and let you come.
I did get to talk to Momster, wasn’t the same as seeing her in person, but she did give me a big hug via Peg. Hope you are feeling better today.
There was another tragedy that did happen. It was a very close call. Poor Buster was caught in a flash flood and nearly drowned. We think it may have been tropical storm Dennis that hopped up to Vancouver and nearly killed Buster. Ron & I were standing on the deck when the poor kid ran up crying for his Mum. He was really upset, Ron & I thought it was kind of funny until Peg pointed out how rough his life had been lately, beat up by a mouse, oops I mean big mean cat, then the plumbers in & out. After she went on and on and on with the excuses I mean explanations we did see the seriousness of the near drowning. Thanks for pointing that out for us Peg.
Well better get to work & catch up. Thanks again Pegster & Ron! Love you guys.

Heck Maggie,
You can just crawl in a carboard box and have fun with Peg.
We saw the most beautiful birds at the aquarium. They were a red ibis I think. They were so pretty, they looked like minature flamigos except a deeper pink-red.
They were nesting right above our heads, I wish I could have seen a chick.

What an absolute riot!!!!! Glad you girls had a blast! You had me laughing for quite awhile with your tales!

I am sooo glad I got my visit in before you messed it up for everyone. Yeh, that Ron is a mean character . He was as nice as pie to me, but then I am the perfect guest!

Poor Buster almost drowning and all the trama that goes along with that!

You guys are way too funny, I would have laughed my butt off! If it would only really work that way...I'd have no butt at all!

Love

Lori, you are lucky you went first, I remember Ron saying something about how he'd fly Peg anywhere to meet us girls just keep us away from Vancouver. ha-ha

When we first met I told him I was pretty shy & quiet and he said "Ya, that's why I could hear you clear across the street above all of the traffic". He catches on quick, kind of ornery too, but guess you'd have to be to live with Peg-eh!

You should have seen all of the liquid candles, bout burnt the house down. We did have fun, anyway Peg & I did. Ronny would have to speak for himself. LOL

Wadda mean "you'd have to be onery to live with Peg"? I resemble that remark  .

Yes my poor Buster :fonkycat: looked like a drowned rat when he made it in out of the storm. First he gets beat up by a cat or a coon about two weeks ago, then he gets traumatized by the plumbers coming in and out of the apartment cutting holes in my walls, then he suffers being laughed at by Ron and Gaea when he gets caught in a storm. Poor kitty, mean Ron and Gaea!

I will be going away the next time for a visit - to Jill's next month. I'm sure we will be much more ladylike and refined than Gaea and I were

Oh, man would I have ever liked to have been a bug on the wall at your place Peg? Ha ha. Just spending a short time with the both of you, I knew you would both be causing trouble in poor Vancouver. Poor, poor, Ron. Ha Ha. And Gaea, if you ever, and I mean ever want to come to Toronto to visit with me I am sure we could find some trouble to get into. I know my daughters would just love you to death, especially my wild child. Nathania. I know you would be a hit with her girlfriend too. Because when the two of them walk into my place it is one giggle after another. You would fit right in too Peg. Oh how I would love to have the two of you come and visit with me here. And yes that is an invite. We do have a few places of interest too around here. And someday, if I save my pennies I would love to go see Peg. It is still one of my life long dreams to see whales, in the wild or at a seaworld, but would just love to do that one day. Thats if Ron ever allows aother Potty person to go there after the ruscuss that you seemed to have left in your wake Gaea!

I am sorry you didn't get to see Momster while you were there too, momster looks like she is all innocent and all, but I tell you she can cause a few giggles let me tell you!

Awwww, I just missed being in on it all, and you got to see Lori too, now Peg is getting to see Jill too, it is just not fair.

U will have to fill us in on a few more gorry details though Gaea, we thirst for knowledge here. For me, I live vicariously through others so the more details the better,

Sounds like you ladies had a great time together. My husband has always had a hankering for Canadian ladies and I've never really heard (his) story but it's obvious, you make a great hostess! Glad you had time together...that was special. Love, Joanna
