An Easy And Healthy Paleo Desert or Snack Treat

Post by tex »

Hi All,

Many members are already aware of this, but for newer members who are not, if you are not intolerant of bananas, you can make a tasty treat, by peeling a banana, putting it into a zip-up type sandwich bag, and stashing it in the freezer. Anytime you want to enjoy the paleo equivalent of a "banana popsicle", just remove it from the freezer, open the bag, (but don't throw the bag away - you can use it to hold the frozen banana, as you eat it), and enjoy. I usually let it thaw for just a few minutes before eating it, to allow the outside of the banana to soften slightly. Don't let it thaw too long, though, or it will turn into mush.

Whenever I buy bananas, I often do this with at least some of them, so that I've usually got a supply of them in the freezer. Over time, they will eventually begin turning black, in the freezer, so be sure to rotate your stock, and don't leave them too long before using them.

Of course, you don't have to have MC to enjoy these - almost anyone would probably enjoy them.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
